Keep in touch
Yay!! Due to the power of Friendster.com, I finally manage to keep in touch with an old classmate that I already lost contact for more than four years! And guess what? She already married! Congratulation my dearest friend! Glad to know that you are doing so fine.
In the olden days, teenagers at our age in my hometown seldom have a hand phone and not a lot of us have an email account. After graduate from high school, most of us headed to out stations or even overseas for further studies. Without any media (phone number, hand phone number, address and email address) to support our connection, obviously we will lose contact with each other.
However, the lifestyle today is so much different if compare with the past. Today, the portable hand phone has become a necessary item not only for teenagers but also for those children in primary school. According to a friend of mine who were teaching in an English tuition class, those children were keep "SMSing" their friends but not concentrating on the class. Well, this is not a good sign isn't it?
Back to my friend, we know each other since the first year in high school. We were studying in the same class, learning Liu Qing (one of the Chinese Orchestra Instruments) together and supporting each other to reduce the pressure that we were having at the competition eve. It is irrefutable that we had been through numerous of experience together. The memories included sour, sweet, bitter and ruthless.
Still remember the Chinese Orchestra Camps that we had been through. Those were some hard time for me. Imagine everyday have to wake up early in the morning and start playing music till late night. But I enjoy it because she was there together with me. We were the only two persons who play the same instrument in the instrumental ensemble competition. Hence, it was very important for us to support each other. She is a good player of Liu Qing. I really appreciate her effort of sharing skills with me. Sincerely thanks her for that.
