What is the definition of guard?

Guard
= watchfulness against attack danger or surprise
= position of readiness to defend oneself
= person (soldier or policeman) who watches over somebody or something.
= person who watches over prisoners in goal
= group of soldiers who protect buildings
= duty of soldiers with the duty of protecting, honouring or escorting somebody.

Nevertheless, it is miserable that the reality is always different with how it suppose to. KLIA guards behind the thefts?!! Additionally, there were at least three of them have been pilfering items from bags at the KL international Airport. To add to the insincerity, one of the culprits was a member of a special task force formed to bust foreign syndicates stealing baggage at the airport. My jaw dropped down when I read the line - Those involved were believed to have been at it for at least 10 years, from the days when the international airport was at Subang. I wonder how could this allowed to happen. It is suppose to be the biggest international airport in our country!

What are their jobs again? Aren't it manning scanners and examining the thousands of bags scanned daily before they loaded aboard planes, look out for banned substances like drugs, and dangerous cargo such as explosives, maintain the security of the airport. In actuality, their duties created opportunities for them to look for their interest. They could easily spot the valuables (watches, cameras, jewellery, laptops, mobile phones, binoculars and video camera) from the bags.

I just can't believe the authenticity of life. I always go back hometown by plane and the iMac is a usual item that I must bring along with me to everywhere I go. I had been trusting the security system in the airport. I believe they will help me to take care of it along the journey with the stickers which were full of the word, "fragile" around it. Well, luck was still on my side, nothing bad had happened to my baby. I suppose it was too big for them to seal if compare with laptops.

Well, the management of KLIA better reorganise their security system not only for the benefits of themselves but also for the image of our country!

As the matter of fact, I don't really like guards, especially those guards from my university. I was staying in the hostel for the whole of my university life. There is a rules that set by the security department which is saying every students are suppose to ask for a permission letter and show it to the security guard at the exit if we want to bring back any computer related items even those items are belong to ourselves. This had created a lot of trouble for us, as a student. Remember there was once my parents drove for seven hours all the way from the top north and due to some sudden situations, they are suppose to bring my computer along with them back to the hometown. Unfortunately it was one O'clock in the morning. I went to the security department and ask for the permission letter but no one was around. So we just head to the exit hoping the security guards at the exit will understand and let us go with my computer.

Nope, you can't go out with the computer. Is already over twelve midnight and no one is allow to bring out any computer!

My parents droved from my hometown which is very far. We seriously need to go back with the computer now. Can you please let me go for once?

No. You should know that you are not able to bring it out after midnight. This is the rules, we can't break it.

Please... please... please...

All right, I will call the head department and ask. I can't make this decision myself.

After 15 minutes, the Head of security department came with a bike. His body was glowing, the wings of angle were growing from his back, and the moon light was focusing right on the spot where he stopped his bike.

Dah pukul berapa ni? (What is the time now?) You should know the rules of your university! This is the rules and I can't change it just because of you.

Out of sudden, the glowing light turned dark, angle wings disappeared, and moon was blocked by the cloud.

Originally, the Permission Letter System that they created was to avoid computers being stolen from the campus. But the truth is, students' computers in hostels still keep disappearing especially during holiday. Their system never helps the situation but created a lot of trouble for parents and students.

In the end, my parents had to stay in a hotel for a night and only go back home the next morning after I got the valuable Permission Letter. I feel so sorry to my parents for the troubles. It was my entire fault for not knowing the rules of my own university well and lack of planning. The past is the past, what I can do is just not to repeat the same mistake.

.: Can't wait for my convo in this September!! :.
