The Dream of Glasses
Took the 11:30pm bus and reached home very early in the morning. All my siblings were still asleep.
I walked in brother's room silently. As predicted, he was sleeping with his glasses on AGAIN! Books were lying beside his pillows. At a snail's pace, I took off his glasses, placed it on his table and left his room.
I have no idea what's the special name for the event today, but what I know about it is that all our family members have to come back and pray for our grandfather every year on the same day. After helping mom to prepare all the things needed for prayer, I was assigned to wake the others up.
I walked in brother's room again. He was sleeping still.
Me: Yiren... Yiren... is time for prayer already. Wake up please.
I was pretty sure he heard me but he was just too lazy to open his eyes.
Me: eh... why don't want to wake up? Not enough sleep is it? What time did you sleep last night?
Brother (with his eyes closed): I'm dreaming still.
Me: What dream? Sweet dream is it?
Brother (with his eyes closed still): Is a nightmare.
Me: Then? Why do you still want to continue if it is a nightmare?
Brother (with his eyes closed STILL): I lost my glasses in the dream. So I have to continue dreaming until I find it back.

Gain and Lost
Mom posted a new phone for me all the way from my hometown.
I have to admit that I didn't really like it from my first glance. I personally feel that the design of the phone is more suitable for guys. If I get to make the decision, I am pretty sure it will not go under my consideration. However, it is a gift from mom. Of course I did accept it contentedly still. Above and beyond, it is a pricey phone!
After having it for twelve days, my mind changed. It is truly a mobile phone that capable of performing multitude of different tasks. I started to store all my important data, reminders, notes, contact numbers, images, and mp3 into it. Soon, it became an item that I couldn't live without.
The night mare happened on the Friday morning. Before getting out of my car, I did double check on the phone and make sure it was sitting right in my bag. I headed towards the bank with my bag hanging horizontally from my left shoulder to my right waist, bank-in a chaque and get back to the car. The whole procedure took not longer than 20 minutes! Till now, I still can't accept the reality that my brand new phone already disappeared when I got back to the car!! How could that happened?!!
I tried to look for it from my bag over and over again. Shifted everything out of the bag and turned it upside down. Still... I walked along the same path to the bank for few times hoping that the phone was lying somewhere at the corner. Asked the guard who was having duty but the answer he gave disappointed me. I dialed my own number but the line kept going to the voice mail. I am pretty sure that my phone is fully charged! It had no reason to direct me to the voice mail unless it was stolen and switched off by the pickpocket!

Happy Birthday Wayne and Chek
I finally seal the deal when it comes to some tricky business negotiations. You're immensely relieved to have matters finalized, and can't wait to get onto the next project. Why not celebrate first?
It was my housemate (Wayne) and close friend (Chek)'s birthday!! We Celebrated it at bukit bintang. The rain was pouring heavily as I was driving alone to his office. A call from another housemate, Pitt: "Where are you now? We are all waiting for you at our office lah!"
"Opsss... I'm still on my way. Can't seem to see the road and the traffic is moving slow. You guys go ahead to the restaurant first. I will go there straight by myself."
"Okey, Along Jalan Bintang, turn left at the lane between Hotel Morriot and Hotel Westin. Turn left again at the first junction right after that. The restaurant will be on your left." The phone was past to Pei Gene. (*Thanks to his comprehensible direction)
"All right, thanks! See ya later."
After few minutes, another ring came. This time was from Jordan. Just to make sure I know the direction exactly and driving safety under the heavy rain.
Finally reached. Pei Gene was waiting for me at the front door and directed me to the gang after that.
Everyone was already sitting comfortably around the huge table and only 2 empty seats left. The first one was right beside Jordon. I have no idea if this is purposely arranged or just so coincidence, but I chose to sit between Karen and Darrel. Just to give lesser space for their additional imaginations. Soon after that, I realized the second seat belonged to Pei Gene earlier. Opss... Anyway, it is just a seat. Not a bit deal.
After the dinner, we went for a drink at the hotel next door. It was a cool place!!! I will upload the photos as soon as I received them. Thanks to everyone tonight. I love all of you as my friends!

Is it a coincidence or my destiny?
Everything's coming up roses when it comes to my social life today.
I chose to say yes to the adventure that crosses my path.
It will involve new and interesting types that I don't usually interact with. After working as an organizer for the past 9 months, I have never thought that I will have an opportunity to work as an animator again.
Timing, persistence and hard work usually result in a spectacular demonstration of luck -- which is what I'm experiencing right now. I wish it will be continued

Appointment with Prof Vicy
Four of us (parents, sister and me) drove all the way from Alor Setar to the hospital in KL again for an appointment with Prof. Vicy. On the journey, sister was vomiting quite frequently. Guess it was because of the long journey which took about 8 hours.
Co-incidentally, I had been vomiting through the whole journey as well. Mom was busy preparing plastic begs for both of us. I have no idea why am I feeling so sick since this morning till now. With no fever or stomach-ache though.
Opsss... out of sudden, I recalled a wish I made before the surgery. "I am willing to share all the pain that sister will be suffering as long as the operation is successful." If it is a wish that came true, I will be very happy still.
Prof. Vicy announced my sister's condition is under expectation. Yahoo... Parents and sister drove back hometown straight after the appointment. I decided to stay here and start typing my resume.

A lesson I learned this month - Be careful when working with 'smart' girl
Today, I received another email from her again. As usual, it is cc to my previous boss as well. I never expect her to reply this mail with another fraudulent issue in it AGAIN. Just for a small mistake she did, we had been sending a total of 5 emails to each other.
After reading her latest reply, only I realize all the explanation I made was meaningless. When some one who never want to admit their mistake, she will just pushes all the blame on you with all the counterfeits stories she can think of.
Candidly, I'm tired of the lame 'conversation' already. I should stop replying or do further explanation. It is up to the boss to decide whether her stores are true or false.

A Successful Surgery
"It was a success operation!" said Prof. Vicy.
Finally it is OVER! YAY............
I have no idea how to elaborate our happiness and appreciation at this movement.
Mom had been busy preparing everything that sister needed during her hospitalization period. The sleepless nights that brother-in-law had, caused his illness and keep vomiting since yesterday. However, the final answer that given by Prof. Vicy and Dr. Gopal never let us down!
Now we are looking forwards to the arrival of sister's married. Everything seem to happen perfectly!!
Well about me, it's time for me to start looking for a new job.Everyday will be a better day~

Traveling and prayer in Bangkok with sister

WAT SUTHAT
THEPWARARAM
Wat Suthat - Temple of immeasurable Charm. Fascinating architectural sculptural and visual highlights reflective of Buddhist theme and Philosophy. It is the Royal temple located right at the very heart of the Greater Bangkok.
Thanks a lot to Moon and Michael Khan for introducing it to us. We went there for a pray, wishing the operation will go successfully.

The Valentine - It Was a Long Day
Before leaving the house, I went through the check lists on my note book to make sure I didn't leave any of them behind. My schedule for today was
1. Buy a pen drive for Yiren from Lot 10
2. Drop my car for Pitt who's working near Lot 10 so that he can help to take care of it when I am not around.
3. Take LRT to Pudu Raya Bus Station.
Yes, I decided not to drive back hometown this time. Trust me, driving back alone for a long journey is a really bad idea.
I had a quick lunch after getting the pen drive. A flash back appeared in my mind while passing by a small café at the ground floor. It was a great memory.
When I was reaching Pitt's office, my phone ringed. I had a bad feeling when I saw her name appeared on the screen. My sixth sense was proved soon after that. Again, she was asking me to help her with video shooting. And after the video shooting, I will have to transfer, edit and convert the video to a VCD. It reminded me the sleepless nights I had from the last favor I did for her.
In other word, I will have to drive all the way back to Bukit Jalil and get my video camera before I could pass my car to Pitt. Considering the bags that I had to carry and the time that I needed to catch the bus home, I have no choice but to reject her. I tried to tell her that I have my own situations to worry on but she couldn't understand. Guess it was because she was needing my assist badly. When I was about to drive back Bukit Jalil, Mom called up.
"Where are you now? Get to the bus station yet?" Mom said.
"I just went to buy the pen drive for Yiren."
"Pen Drive? Is the shop very far? Why you didn't tell me earlier? Maybe I can buy it then you don't have to purposely go so far to buy it. So, are you on the way to the bus station yet?" Mom said.
"I... I... am... about to drive back.... Bukit Jalil. N...eed to get my video camera. A friend needs my help."
"Hai yooooo... Can you please don't do things like this again? Don't you know that you already had too many things to worry on? Do you know that I also have lots of work to do but I rather do it myself in stead of disturbing you? Do you know that you are hurting my heart when I know that you are troubling yourself because of helping friends? A good friend should know how to consider others' feeling too. Please don't waste my effort." mom yelled.
"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. I'm going home now. See you later."
"Next Station, KL Sentral. Next Station Sentral" the LRT system announced. Only, I realized I already missed the station that I suppose to go! I was surprised with my carelessness today. Without hesitation, I changed to the opposite train and get back to the station I missed.
I took out my phone from the pocket to look for the time, the screen showed "Dialled 1: ..." Only, I knew that I called him by coincidence.I was stunned when I realized another recklessness of mine. To be polite, I sent a sms to apologize. He replied with a "missed call"
Out of sudden, I felt so lonely and needed a pair of ears badly.
It supposed to be a sunny day but the weather changed out of sudden. I felt extremely cold in the bus. I have no idea it was because of the heavy rain or the air-conditional of the bus. However, luckily I was not alone on the seven hours journey. Greeting sms and calls from dad, mom, sister, housemates and friends warmed me up. Really appreciate all of you.
I will accompany sister to temple in Bangkok tomorrow. Wish her get well soon!

The Changes of My Philosophy
I quitted my position as the Festival Assistant Director right before the Chinese New. There were several reasons that caused my decision but the main reason was for me to have a longer Chinese New Year 'Holiday' with my family.
"This is so not you!"
For those of you who know me well enough will definitely say that.
While studying in the university, 'studies, assignments, activities, and sports were always on top of my considerations during trimester break. I believed it was a waste of time by spending the holidays at home when I can exchange it with knowledge and experience.
But what's the most important for me is family now. I believe there is no right or wrong though. I just have to make sure i don't regret after every choice I made.
It was the first morning of Chinese New Year 2006.
"Da Jie... Da Jie...," Hanreen said, "I'm hungry."
"Da Jie... Da Jie... Look at Yiren," I said, "grandma wants all of us in red today but he still chooses to wear a black T-shirt!"
"Da Jie... Da Jie...," Shereene said, "what do you think about my cloth? Do you think I can wear like this?"
"Hai yoooooo..." our eldest sister said, "all of you a... Keep calling me for everything"
Yes, this is how important she is for us. She always scolds us badly for every minor mistake we do. But we know the inner side of her is very indulgent. I admit that four of us are depending too much on her. We already reached the stage where we cannot live without her! I always believe that it is not easy to be the eldest, especially when you have lots of siblings.
There are several special days for mighty people. Teacher's Day, Father's Day, Mother's day... I will name 23 Feb as Da Jie's Day. It's not the date of my eldest sister's birthday but it will be an extreme important date for her. I pray days and night so that her operation will go smoothly without a hitch. I don't mind paying anything of mine in return. Because worth it.

My mind on Saturday night
After driving around the "parking" area for 2 hours, I finally manage to fight a small spot for my car to have a rest. I really tired of doing this after work for everyday.
The three statements that i got from the police uncle are still in my wallet. Due to Malaysia's Independence Day, our government is giving "50 % discount" for all the traffic fines. I must clear all my fines before the deadline!
I know this is not going to solve the problem. The only way to avoid wasting my time looking for parking around my apartment everyday is to rent another unit and shift!
But shifting will cost me a lot on lorry rental, energy, and time. The salary that I am having now is obviously not enough to pay for all those. I admit it is not considered as a low salary for a fresh graduate like me. But I borrowed a huge amount of money from the government for my tuition fees in university. And now is the time when I have to return it!
Miss home... I miss my dad, mom, sisters and brother so much! Yesterday was my sister's birthday. How I wish to celebrate it with her. But the meetings that I have to attend this week blocked my way home. I am not a workaholic. But works just always come to me automatically.
When was the last time I went back?
Since the "Rice Museum of Kedah" was posted.
Oh wait...
Meaning, this is only my first post after so long??!!!!
Wow... time really flies!
And I am getting older!
What did I have in August?
Working, meetings, painting the wall of my new office, having weekly futsal, playing weekly badminton, watching movies, eating and sleeping.
While who are the people that I met recently?
ONLY people in the same office as me!
